Playing Tag

Another blogger was awesome enough to "tag" my blog, which means I have to write seven things about myself and then tag the blogs of seven other people. Thinking of seven hopefully interesting things was good brain fodder for a run, and here they are:

About me...
1. I eat chocolate every day and have been known to send my husband out to get me some at night if I can't find any in the house.
2. My biggest vice is People magazine. (Chocolate doesn't count; it has antioxidants, which makes it a vitamin.)
3. I got a doctorate at Harvard (no joke), but I really wanted to be a pastry chef/personal trainer (are those incompatible?)
4. My proudest moment as a mother and a feminist was when my son told my best friend that he wants to be a mommy when he grows up.
5. I once copy edited a sex book, and it was actually kind of tedious.
6. My proudest moment as a runner was doing 20 miles in 8 degrees.
7. I interviewed a 16-year-old former prostitute named Angel (for my dissertation on girls' experiences of early puberty). Angel changed my perspective on the world and the good fortune of my own life in the most amazing ways. I have an article about her in the Journal of Early Adolescence coming out in 2008.

Enough about me, here are a few of the blogs I read all the time:

1. Runner Susan
2. Journey to 13.1, One Advil at a Time
3. Crunchy 'Nanas
4. 21st Century Mom
5. Blogging Westford
6. Rebel Dad
7. Ophelia Rising

And here are the rules of tagging:
Link to the person that tagged you, and post the rules on your blog.
Share 7 facts about yourself.
Tag 7 random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.
Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

You're It!

Hey, thanks!

But I find that I'm having trouble coming up with seven people to tag. I tend to only read the blogs of people that I know. I guess I need to start surfing this blog world a little bit more.

At any rate, I'm truly honored.
